Who We Are

At Epiphany, we are an inclusive community in every sense of the word. Everyone is welcome without exception.

We come to honor God, not to fit in or impress others. You’ll find us in “church clothes,” jeans, shorts, heels, and flip flops.

Many of our members were raised in other faith traditions and found their way to a home that welcomes questions and supports each person’s journey of faith.

We look forward to worshiping with you!

Our Mission

The mission of Epiphany Leeds is to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ. Our vision is to be a church that is united through Christ in loving God and our neighbor.

About Our Rector

The Rev. Curtis Kennington was raised in the Mobile Bay area and graduated from the University of West Florida in 2012 with a degree in Special Education. After discerning a call to ordained ministry, he earned his Master of Divinity from General Theological Seminary in 2017.

Fr. Curt has served Episcopal congregations in Larchmont, New York; Troy, Alabama; and Wilmington, Delaware. In addition to his ministry at Epiphany, he serves as a Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator with Compassus Hospice in Birmingham.

Fr. Curt and his wife, Sellers, are parents to two sons, Grayton and Henry. Their family also includes two beloved and misfit dogs, Mocha and Poppy.

When he is not serving the church or hospice community, he enjoys reading, carpentry, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Fr. Curt is grateful to be an active and integral part of the life and ministry of Epiphany and looks forward to growing in faith and fellowship with the parish family.
