Yoga for the Rest of Us

Yoga as a Spiritual Practice

Join us Tuesday mornings at 10:30 am for a 60 to 90 minute class blending yoga asanas with meditative practice in the Christian tradition.
Our class is a joint Vinyasa and Chair yoga class with our instructor, Beth leading us in this practice. Our goal is to unite Body, Mind and Spirit as a spiritual discipline.
There is no fee for the class, but participants are asked to either bring in canned goods or make a small donation to our Blessing Box to feed those in need.
This is a gentle flow and a really fun group!
Elizabeth (Beth) Gregory entered yoga later in life after a series of injuries left her with limited flexibility and poor balance. Developing a regular practice enabled her to regain balance, flexibility and strength. With her background in nursing and counseling and a PhD in Health Administration, Beth wanted to share the gift of yoga with others. Beth also serves as a Spiritual Director and provides training on Christian contemplative practices.
Beth focuses on Yoga for the Rest of Us—that is, those of us who think yoga is only for the young or the thin. She stresses yoga as a spiritual practice of honoring the body, challenging ourselves to go deeper both physically (while honoring our limitations) and also spiritually, expressing gratitude for what we can do rather than lamenting the losses we experience with aging.
Certifications: 200-hour YTT with the Yoga and Ayurveda Center and with the Yoga Alliance, 2021, Chair Yoga 25 hour certification, Ayurveda 25 hour, YogaLean, and Restorative yoga.
